Pregnant women with eating disorders- Pregorexia

When did it become fashionable or OKAY to glorify pregnant women's eating disorders?! This has to be one the of craziest covers I've seen on a magazine... like... EVER! Love It! magazine (featured left) from the UK and The Sun have both featured stories about two pregnant women under headers "I'm pregnant and anorexic" and "Pregnant and skinny!" and share their stories of how they are starving themselves while pregnant.

The Sun's story, "I'm pregnant and anorexic," opens up about about a woman named Laura Preston, 19, featured in left pic, who is six months pregnant! Yeah, I bet you could have never guessed it?

Laura is not suffering from morning sickness:
Shes making herself sick by sticking her fingers down her throat to keep her slender size-eight pre-pregnancy figure.
She says:
I know its wrong to force myself to be sick when Im carrying my baby, Laura says sadly.

But my need to be thin is overwhelming. I cant stop myself.

"Morning sickness was the perfect excuse because I could vomit and then blame the pregnancy.

She makes herself sick at least 3 times a day:

I tell everyone its morning sickness and no one doubts me, she says.

Ive got my weight down to 7st 12lb, when I should be nearer 10st now. I wont stop until I get back to 6st my dream weight.

I know my baby will be taking all it can from me, but I cant bring myself to eat more.

Its too upsetting.

And the saddest part is that she is not alone. There is a nickname for women who are pregnant and anorexic, pregorexic.

Celebrities have also added pressure to moms-to-be to not gain weight during their pregnancy, such as Victoria Beckham and Jordan, who both stayed thin throughout their pregnancies.

I feel so guilty trying to copy a celebrity, Laura confesses.

When my baby kicks inside me, I know Im being very selfish.

But I cant stop myself.

This is a really sad story and so is the cover of the Love It magazine! Just the sound of it makes me sick. "'Pregnant and Skinny' on Love it! magazine." That seriously sounds so messed up!
