The teenage pregnancy rate has dropped slightly in Iredell County even as statewide numbers are increasing. In Iredell County, the pregnancy rate was 56.4 per 1,000 girls ages 15 to 19 last year, compared to 60.7 per 1,000 in 2005, according to the State Center for Health Statistics.
