New mothers hoping to shed extra pounds gained during pregnancy shouldn't just work out -- they should also sleep in. A Harvard study linked weight loss in new moms to sleep. It says mothers who slept 5 hours or less a night when their babies were 6 months old were 3 times more likely to have retained extra pounds. Women who got 7 hours or more lost more weight.
