Thursday night’s episode of Private Practice brought up a subject that no expectant mother wants to think about: a baby born with complications, problems, a birth defect, etc... Regardless of whether the pregnancy is planned or not or if the expectant mother is going to parent or place the baby for adoption, they don’t want to give much thought to this possibility, but I think it’s there in the back of our minds. No mother wants to have a child born with complications but sometimes it happens.
